Biography - Farm County Jubilee
In 1957, RCA Records in Nashville opened up a recording studio. Over the next 2 decades, countless classic songs were created inside those walls, superstars were made, and Studio B became a legend.
Now, using the very same microphones and equipment that Elvis, Waylon, Dolly and others used, Tim Graves, Stacy Scruggs and Daryl Mosley have reopened the vaults at Studio B to record a bluegrass tribute to the legendary studio and the artists and songs created there—The Stars of Farm County Jubilee Present A Bluegrass Tribute to Historic RCA Studio B.
In the days before the multi-million dollar superstar tours, bluegrass and country music fans were treated to programs that showcased several stars in one unique format. These “package shows” featured successful, individual artists who shared a common thread as regular performers on radio shows like the “Louisiana Hayride” and the “Grand Ole Opry” and later, television shows like “The Wilburn Brothers Show” and “The Porter Wagoner Show.” It was these stars and this style of entertainment that built the foundation of traditional music and set the standard of country entertainment, taking it from the living rooms to the fairs, festivals, and concert halls of North America.
Now, a new generation of artists has joined forces to recreate this exciting entertainment experience with the debut of Farm County Jubilee. Combining elements of Opry style shows, classic country television, and package shows, Farm County Jubilee is a truly unique experience for today’s bluegrass and traditional music fan.
Hosting the show are two long-time music veterans, Tim Graves and Daryl Mosley. Grammy award winner Tim Graves is one of bluegrass music’s most beloved performers. He has over 30 years of professional entertaining under his belt, including 20 years as part of world famous Grand Ole Opry. Graves is the reigning Dobro Player of the Year in bluegrass music, a distinction he has held for five years.
Multi-award winning singer/songwriter Daryl Mosley is one of industry’s most gifted vocalists. Mosley has enjoyed much success as a recording artist, as well as writing great songs for himself and others. He has several #1 songs and “Song of the Year” awards to his credit and is currently in his tenth year performing as a part of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
In the tradition of Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn, Stacy Scruggs brings a wonderful freshness and quality as the “girl singer” for Farm County Jubilee. Scruggs is one of the exciting young artists carrying the torch for the resurgence of traditional music. She has a strong and growing fan base, having performed regularly as part of the Nashville music scene for several years.
You can't have a package show without some country humor. Reporting the latest “News from Farm County” is talented and funny Jeff Hardin. Hardin has entertained on stages all across America with his warm, witty personality that is both genuine and hilarious. He is also a talented fiddle player and leads the exciting Farm Hands band.
The real star of the show is the show itself. Farm County Jubilee celebrates the heyday of country and bluegrass music when entertainers looked, dressed, and performed like, well, entertainers! The show features great singing, hot picking, gospel songs, hoedowns, comedy and much more. Capturing the essence of the classic shows and, yet, remaining fresh and exciting is what makes Farm County Jubilee unlike any other show.
With a salute to the past and a face towards the future--Farm County Jubilee.
