WYATT ELLIS DANCE CARD OVERFLOWING

Best New Artist IBMA Nomination and

5th #1 Single Tops Bluegrass Today Charts

Nashville, TN -- September 15, 2025 -- AMERICANAFEST, IBMA Awards, Grand Ole Opry, Bourbon & Beyond festival—just a short list of what is currently going on in the life of Bluegrass phenom Wyatt Ellis, all while he celebrates his fifth #1 single as “Country Boy Rock & Roll” (Knee High Records) tops the Bluegrass Today airplay charts.

Last week Ellis’ performance at Nashville’s historic The Station Inn for his AMERICANFEST debut was well-received, as was his set at the Bourbon and Beyond festival in Louisville, KY.

Tomorrow (9/16), Ellis will perform as part of Opry 100 Honors: Bill Monroe at the Opry House in Nashville. He will join Ricky Skaggs, The Del McCoury Band, Carly Pearce, Rhonda Vincent and many more as they pay tribute to one of Ellis’ greatest influences. Monroe’s inspiration is so great that Ellis had a difficult time determining which songs out of the legend’s repertoire to perform. “From the ages of 10 to 12, I set out to learn every Bill Monroe tune note-for-note, it was like learning an alphabet," Ellis explains. "That foundation led me to start composing my own instrumentals and, eventually, writing songs. Choosing just two for the Opry wasn't easy, but I think I've found the right pair to honor my ultimate mandolin hero”

As soon as he leaves the Opry stage, Ellis heads to the IBMA World of Bluegrass in Chattanooga, where he will perform on numerous stages including Bluegrass Live!, The Bluegrass Ramble, the Momentum Awards, and the IBMA Awards. The young musician has been nominated in the Best New Artist category, and Wyatt Ellis & His Bluegrass Band is nominated for the Momentum Awards' Band of the Year.

ABOUT WYATT ELLIS

Born in the rich musical bed of East Tennessee, Wyatt Ellis has quickly become one of the most-watched young musicians in bluegrass. A skilled vocalist, gifted multi-instrumentalist, and natural bandleader, Wyatt is redefining what it means to carry tradition forward with heart and authenticity. Raised near the Great Smoky Mountains, his first memory of hearing the mandolin—Bobby Osborne’s solo on the bluegrass classic “Rocky Top”—sparked a deep love for the instrument. That early inspiration came full circle when Wyatt was mentored by the legendary musician himself, and later featured on Bobby’s final recording of the Tennessee anthem that first drew his heart to music. During the pandemic, Wyatt poured himself into learning. He studied with master musicians, composed original tunes, and developed a voice and sound all his own. From pickin’ alone in his living room to fronting a dynamic band on stages across the country, Wyatt’s path has been unparalleled. His debut album, Happy Valley, a reflection of his East Tennessee roots and musical virtuosity, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart—marking the arrival of a bold new voice grounded in tradition.
